You think you know “Alice in Wonderland”, but you’ve never seen it quite like this! Fall with us into the rabbit hole and try to keep your head from spinning in the dark, twisted world that awaits. This character-driven adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s beloved novel by Portland playwright Conor Eifler features all of your favorite characters – Alice, the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, The Queen of Hearts — conceived in an entirely new light. Michael O’Neill directs this highly physical, spectacular retelling of the tale utilizing masks, stilts, and the human body, with puppets courtesy of Michael Curry. A theatrical adventure down the rabbit hole …
Alice in Wonderland played as a sold-out reading as part of Portland’s annual Fertile Ground Festival in January, 2010, and then as a full production with masks by Tony Fuemmeler for four weekends in June, 2010, at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center.
